What to expect

Anyone can do this on light tackle

Everyone is welcome aboard, from people who have never held a rod to professional tournament anglers. We stay in calm water, so seasickness isn't a worry, and there are plenty of fish close to shore. Most days we're fishing within minutes of leaving the dock.

The Emerald Coast offers lots of ways to fish. A morning might start with top-water plugs for big speckled trout, then move to sight-casting at cruising redfish in a foot or two of water. Migratory fish like tarpon, pompano, cobia, jacks, Spanish and king mackerel and bluefish show up through the year, so you never know what will bite next.

Captain Mike will tell you what's biting and the best way to target it, and use whichever method suits the day and your preference. Light, custom rods and reels make every fight more fun than the heavy, winch-style gear used on big party boats.
